“Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2” Debuts #1 Country

NASHVILLE - (April 5, 2006) - Tim McGraw’s second greatest hits package, Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol 2, lands at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart today with sales of 242,045, making it his 9th consecutive #1 album debut. The album also debuts at #1 on the Top Internet Chart as the most downloaded album, and the CD sold an additional 61,000 in individual downloads. Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol 2 also debuts at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. The first single off the CD, “When The Stars Go Blue,” a cover tune written by Ryan Adams, lands in the top 15 after just four weeks on the chart. This is McGraw’s second greatest hits package. His last, released in November 2000, is certified five times platinum.

The album contains 16 tracks, including 10 previous hits including everything from McGraw’s 1994 smash hit “ot A Moment Too Soon” to 2001&146;s “Grown Men Don’t Cry,” to 2004’s “Watch The Wind Blow By” and his record-breaking ten-week #1 crossover smash “Live Like You Were Dying.” Six songs never before released on a McGraw album appear on Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol 2, including his 2005 multi-chart topping release “Over And Over” with Nelly, his duet “Like We Never Loved At All” with Faith Hill, and four brand new songs: “My Little Girl,” “Beautiful People,” “I’ve Got Friends That Do,” and “When The Stars Go Blue.” Both “My Little Girl” and “I’ve Got Friends That Do” were co-written by McGraw, and the two are the first songs penned by McGraw that he has chosen to record.

McGraw once again enlisted keyboardist Jeff McMahon and the rest of his touring band, the Dancehall Doctors, to play on the new songs recorded for Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2, as their previous projects together proved to be highly successful. 2002's Tim McGraw & the Dancehall Doctors and 2004’s Live Like You Were Dying have collectively sold nearly 7 million units thus far, bringing McGraw's total number of career albums sold to over 33 million.

“When we first began to record with Tim in 2002, it was such a thrill to be a part of that creative process,” said McMahon. “To play such an integral part in creating Tim’s music with him, and then take it onstage - it’s a great thing. I never even really thought about the possibility of a ‘greatest hits’ collection. I just love that we get to create it all together.”

Create it, they have. McGraw has continued to rack up awards and accolades since turning to his touring mates for his most recent album projects, and the new material added to this gathering of smash hits and chart-toppers shows that McGraw continues to grow and evolve as an artist.

“I think every artist would prefer to do studio albums and not even think about hits packages,” says McGraw. “I knew that if I ever got the chance to do another one that I’d want more than just past hits. I’m glad that this can be not only a reflection of where I’ve been, but where I am today because it gives more to the fans.”
