Hit "OUT LOUD" Tour Gets Louder

Keyboardist Jeff McMahon finished this summer’s scheduled tour dates with country superstar Tim McGraw on August 1, but he won’t be unpacking anytime soon. The tour has now been extended well into October to meet an overwhelming demand for additional performances. The group spent the summer filling amphitheaters from coast to coast, but they will now move to indoor arenas for the renamed “Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors Fall Tour 2004.”

This summer’s critically acclaimed “OUT LOUD” tour finished up its initial 33-city run with a full house on Sunday, August 1 in Nashville, Tennessee. McGraw and his band have performed for over half a million fans since kicking the tour off in June, breaking attendance records and thrilling audiences across the country. With the added anticipation for the August 24 release of Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors’ new album, Live Like You Were Dying, it comes as no surprise that the concerts continue to sell out, show after show.

Here is what writer John Hayes of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had to say about his experience at the “OUT LOUD” show in July.

Surrounded by 18 video screens and one of the hottest eight-piece bands in the country universe, heartthrob Tim McGraw gave a capacity Post-Gazette Pavilion crowd exactly what it paid to see. His 1 1/2-hour set on Tuesday spanned 12 years of award-winning songs, foreshadowed an upcoming CD and spotlighted The Dancehall Doctors, a band that's as tight as McGraw's faded jeans.

“I’m all for it,” said keyboardist McMahon about the extended tour. “I’m not ready to go home. I love taking the new stuff out there and putting it onstage. We get to see the response to the new songs…see what the audience thinks.”

“Besides,” he adds, “I’m havin’ a blast!”

“Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors Fall Tour 2004” kicks off August 19 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This precedes the release of the new album, Live Like You Were Dying, on August 24. The Warren Brothers and Big & Rich will continue as opening acts for these additional performances. All new tour dates will be listed on www.timmcgraw.com as soon as they become available, and all dates are subject to change.
