MUSIC ROW DOGS AND NASHVILLE CATS
Country Stars And Their Pets

By Karen Will Rogers & Laura Lacy
Introduction by Jack Hanna

MUSIC ROW DOGS AND NASHVILLE CATS (CMT Books/ Pocket Books; June 22, 2004) is a stunning collection of photos and interviews featuring country music’s hottest stars and their pets. With an introduction by famous animal expert Jack Hanna, this book will appeal to country music fans who are interested in a peek at the personal side of their favorite artists, as well as animal lovers everywhere!

Dancehall Doctor Jeff McMahon is only one of the many country stars included in the project. Some of the other artists included are: Vince Gill, Jo Dee Messina, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, Wynonna, Tanya Tucker, Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black, Billy Ray Cyrus, Chely Wright, Brad Paisley, Charlie Daniels, Barbara Mandrell, Dierks Bentley, Terri Clark, George Jones, Eddie Montgomery of the duo Montgomery Gentry, Neal McCoy, Blake Shelton, Jay Demarcus of Rascal Flatts, and the late Tammy Wynette.

The original goal of this project was to raise enough money to improve an animal shelter in Nashville. A new shelter has been built, and now the authors will donate part of their proceeds to animal rights and rescue organizations in Nashville.

About the Authors
Karen Will Rogers moved to Music City from Los Angeles five years ago. She has been a professional photographer for fifteen years, with showings of her work in Los Angeles galleries and at many Nashville business locations. Karen's projects have ranged from production stills, publicity, cd covers, fine arts, modeling, musicians, concerts, and weddings, as well as pet and people portraiture. Karen has been featured in Country Weekly Magazine, Nashville Scene, and other publications.

Laura Lacy came to this project by way of New York and Los Angeles. After running an event-planning company for executives, Laura held diverse positions in the film, television, and music industries, including event organizer and assistant to the stars. When she moved to Nashville to work in country music, her love of animals led her into organizing and coordinating this project. She has been featured in Country Weekly Magazine and Nashville Scene.
